Kurt is, unfortunately, going to have to wait another night to get the fluids drained from his abdomen. When the docs tried it this afternoon, they nicked a blood vessel. The bleeding stopped quickly, but they need to wait a bit and then take some blood samples, so nothing until the morning. He will get an ultrasound tonight (I hope) with a more powerful machine, so they can identify the best spots for the procedure.
Otherwise, he is resting comfortably, chatting with some of his fraternity brothers, and working on getting some calories after not eating all day in preparation for the catheter that he decided not to do.
Also, following on my last post, or one of the other posts from today (I forget), if I am posting things on here that don't make sense, feel free to drop a question in the comments. As you might imagine, we are all a little loopy!

This is supposed to be a prayer candle. I'm quoting you Jen - We expect good news in the morning.
I am planning to come up an visit after work today, Tuesday.
