Beautiful Day!

It is a beautiful day here in Baltimore! Sunny, clear....chilly, but beautiful.

Kurt is in good spirits today.  He is grinning and laughing quite a bit, and when asked how he feels, he just beams and says "Great!" His energy stores are really limited, however, so he is still holding off on visitors.

Kurt and Jen: David and I have been in constant pryaer for you since we found out you were in the hospital last Sat. Our congregations both services prayed for you. I entertained my prayer group with Kurt stories. This is my favorite: Kurt was the father in the prodigal son, and when the son finally came home, he changed the script and shook his finger at him and said, "Don't you ever do that again." I think Kurt was six. Our prayers and thoughts are with you.

Kurt, Jen & family,

It's so great to hear that you are having sunny weather & new bursts of strength & encouragement! We received a neat Christmas card from
a friend in Texas that I wanted to share. I've loved & been fascinated with snowflakes since I
was a little girl...

The Meaning of a Snowflake

Every new snowflake comes to the earth as a picture of our Saviour's
birth, because they are sent from up above & remind us of God's care & love.

Each one is so intricate & small because Christ sees the details of us all, & just as two are never the same the Lord knows & calls us
each by name.

Snowflakes gently cover the world in white & hide what's unlovely from our sight, showing us how He covers our sin & gives us His grace when we come to Him.

So may every snowflake bring Christ to mind & in every bit of white may you find a reason to celebrate anew & a reminder of His love for you. Holley Gerth

Then my friend wrote a note to us
quoting Joshua 1:9 "Have I not
commanded you? Be strong & courageous. Do not be terrified; do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go."

Your courage, perseverance, tenacity & especially your faith are an inspiration to so many. We
love & appreciate you!
