Where Has the Day Gone?

Goodness, I can't believe it is 4:15 already! So sorry for the late update.

We are holding fast in prayer and thanksgiving here at Hopkins. Kurt is getting fidgety in bed, so he has been moving around quite a bit over the last 24 hours. Today was another no visitor day, except for the occasional pop-in from Pastor Michael and Kurt's chemo nurses, who are basically family to us anyhow. Yesterday's blood transfusion made Kurt's cheeks all rosy... so cute :)  Otherwise, he is resting well.

In other news, if you hadn't seen it already, my former boss Sen. Conrad Burns (R-MT) had a stroke last night. He is recovering at Georgetown Hospital, and hopefully will be released in a few days. Working for Conrad was one of the great privileges of my life, so please keep him and Phyllis in your thoughts and prayers.

Stupid devil. So tired of all this sickness and disease. But, God is good....these trials have been overcome.

Fidgety is a good thing!

Not sure about Kurt being "cute" with "rosy cheeks". Think you might be a little bias on that one.

Prayers for a full recovery for Conrad Burns.

And your right . . . stupid devil. We all need to stand together and stand strong. Command the Devil out of Kurt's (and every loved one's)body and life. Stand strong - tell the evil his was not invited, not wanted and to be gone!

Standing strong with you in your battle! Love Aunt Trink

Cancer sucks. But people beat it every day. Here's to you beating it....one fidgety day at a time.

We're thinking of you.

Keeping both of you in my heart and prayers. Stay strong and resolved in your fight. Keeping the Brown's in my prayers too against the Steelers...:-)

I've never posted on here but, as a friend of Jennifer's, have "watched from afar" via your blog. I'm so proud of both of you! You are truly inspirations to all of us, as a couple and as individuals. Prayers are being sent your way from Montana. God Bless, Nancy Schlepp and family

I learned a long time ago to never bet against Kurt. Lost money every time we went Golfing. He would always rise to the challenge, even if it was a long chip to sink it. I'm thinking of you and Jen often. I'm praying for both of you.
