Today has been a total nuthouse, so that explains the late post. We have had lots of visitors today, so I have been running around quite a bit.
Well, here is today's good news: Kurt has the most amazing spirit and strength I have ever seen. Witnessing his courage in the face of bleak circumstances is so uplifting. So, we are all going to stand with him, knowing and expecting healing to come.
Right now, the doctors are draining some additional fluid in his abdomen. They just pulled a liter and are still getting more. Kurt just finished acupuncture, which helped calm his breathing and provide good energy. He is looking forward to his brothers and sisters arriving, and sent my sister off to pick up some board games for us to play. I wish I could characterize his strength of spirit. His voice is hoarse from dry hospital air, but there is no weakness when he starts issuing orders and pushing for care.
Prayers, prayers, prayers everyone!!
