So, NO ONE is going to point out that my last post said that Kurt was going to try to eat some "solid fluids"???? Really? I have that obvious of a mental fail and no one says a word? C'mon people....there is no room for pity here. I just re-read that post and laughed out loud. Then I was thoroughly disappointed that no one noticed I was obviously not really concentrating when I wrote that last post.
My goal for this post is to use nouns and verbs together properly. I'm a little tired and kind of punchy, so that is aiming pretty high right now. Not much actually happened after my last post. The doctors did another scan of Kurt's belly and found a big pocket of fluids on his left side, so they will probably drain that in the morning...we couldn't get it done today, I guess. Kurt was able to get some nutrition - more than he has had in a couple of days - and walk around a little. He asked me to bring in some weights so he could exercise in bed a little, and he is aiming to walk around more tomorrow.
We should have new blood test results in the morning to see how Kurt is responding to the infusions and such. I think Kurt will probably still be in the hospital tomorrow night. I am going over to the University of Maryland tomorrow to meet with the doctor who did the SIR-Spheres, to get his read on the scans and blood tests. It will be good to have a second opinion.
Thanks for sticking with us during this episode ~ we appreciate it. Hopefully, I can talk Kurt into posting soon....in the meantime, I'll keep you posted on what we learn tomorrow.

Regarding not noticing the "solid fluids" item...In my defense I've been reading a lot of Dr. Seuss books to Julie lately and I'm not really sure what's proper English and what's Seussian nonsense.
You could have told me that they found a zizzer zazzer zuzz when they drained the fluid or Kurt was being released on the first of Octember and I wouldn't have questioned it.
Matt, you are really starting to distinguish yourself as one of the funniest commenters....you should know that you are actually developing a fan base of your own! I expect this will cause you to seriously rethink your career options :)
I printed the posting off, laminated it and have added it to my "once in a life time moments" book.
Love,
Aunt Trink
