Apologies for running radio silent all of a sudden!
Kurt was discharged Monday afternoon, and we went right down to the
airport to give us plenty of time to get around. The flight was a
little tough ...Kurt spiked a pretty high fever just as we were
boarding, so we were sitting on the plane, talking to the doctors,
trying to figure out if Kurt could fly. Ultimately, they decided to
let us go, with lots of warnings.
The antibiotics seem to be working pretty well, keeping the fever
mostly under control. He is still retaining a lot of fluids, and gets
a little yellow sometimes. But otherwise, Kurt has been in good
spirits, his appetite is picking up a little, and he is able to move
around a little more each day.
Kurt's next doctor appointment is Monday, so hopefully we will know
more about his progress then.
