Good morning! Sorry I didn't post more yesterday, but I actually got kind of busy. Kurt's nurse had him up and walking around, I was running back and forth to the house, etc.
So, things are looking pretty good today. The doctors are working toward releasing Kurt tomorrow, but will probably have to keep him on antibiotics for at least another week. Kurt's liver is still pretty stressed and inflamed. But, his WBC counts are coming down, and his fever is pretty stable. He is able to eat better and the pain level has gone down quite a bit. Today's focus is on expanding Kurt's lung capacity so he can get oxygen into his blood. So we will be doing lots of walking and breathing exercises today.
Kurt has really bounced back well. It is pretty amazing. We still don't totally know what is wrong with him. The blood cultures are still being tested; all the tests run so far have been negative. I guess it ultimately doesn't really matter what caused the infection, so long as he gets it fixed.
Ok, time to get my fantasy roster set. If anything changes today, I'll update.
