Hopkins Hilton, Round 2

I hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving - we certainly did!! We
got back Saturday, and the week was uneventful. Unfortunately, Kurt
continues to retain fluids and started to get much more bloated
yesterday, so he had to be admitted to the hospital last night.

The doctors have decided to tap Kurt's belly, finally. They will
insert a needle into his abdomen and drain off the fluids. We are
waiting now for Kurt to get an ultrasound, which will determine where
they insert the needle. Hopefully, after he is tapped, he will feel
some relief and be able to eat again. Kurt is focused on regaining
strength so he can continue treatments.

Other than the fluids, Kurt is feeling pretty good. He is still a
little jaundiced and his white blood cell count is pretty high. But,
that should start to clear up once those fluids get drained. We're not
sure if he will stay in the hospital tonight - I'll post more as we
learn it.

Happy Cyber Monday - get your online shopping done today!!

Glad to hear you had a little bit of a respite over Thanksgiving - or at least got to enjoy family. Hopefully this clears things up so Kurt get can get back on treatment.
