We have been sitting in the lobby playing a dice game - Fill or Bust, an Owen family favorite - and, frankly, it is hard to play a game of chance with 7 highly competitive people and not shout once or twice. MOST of us have avoided swearing....
Treatment is running slow today - Kurt just started pre-meds; chemo should start in another 15 or 20 min. We are working in shifts, so all the siblings can spend time with Kurt while he gets treatment. It's strange, but somehow seeing what treatment actually looks like seems to make things better. Maybe taking the cancer experience out of the imagination and into reality makes things more manageable. I don't know, but whatever it is, it seems to work.
Hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving and is now out there shopping!!

The visual is outstanding.
A deft flick of the wrist and the familiar rattle of the bones - followed by a triumphant roller leaping up and yelling 'Yeah! Suck it, Trebek!' and then quickly coming to reality with the surroundings.
Just pause, look at the registrar and say "What? It was a good toss! Want in?"
AM hoping & praying that you have more success than you even imagined today, Kurt. That every single drop of the meds does exactly what it was designed to do, that your body heals well and quickly and that you are gaining strength every moment. The Word, Kurt, says that the things that are seen are subject to change, but the things that are NOT Seen are ETERNAL. We can't see the healing taking place in your body, but by the WORD & FAITH, we know it's happening. Hallelujah and AMEN!!
Still loving you always,
G'ma D
I bet it's fun having your siblings and friends around. I know they Love you and want to bless and help you. Have Fun!
I hope you weren't playing for money! Ha! - who am I kidding?! Well at least I hope you didn't try to lure other visitors into your game.
