Good day of treatment - Go Tigers!!

Today was a good day of treatment that wrapped up a good week! My endoscopy went very well on Tuesday. The GI doc was very pleased at how small the tumor is (2 cm!) and was also pleased that the lymph nodes around my esophagus were shrinking nicely. He still saw the tumors in my liver on the ultrasound, but didn't make any judgement as to their size. On the positive side today, my liver numbers were very good today - all moving in the right direction. The nurses and doctors are all happy at how well I'm doing, so it was a good day.

Add to that the fact that the Geraldine Tigers are going to wrap up a perfect season this Saturday by winning the Montana 6-Man football state championship over our longtime rivals out of Highwood! Jen's parents are out here for the weekend keeping us company and helping us get the house ready for Thanksgiving.

Thanks for all your comments, prayers and thoughts!

Thanks, Kurt, for the info; for keeping us up to date. I, too, appreciate your posting.
Sounds like you and Jen are both very astute about your situation. That's great. I know you'll stay right on top of it. It's WAR, but you're winning the battle. PTL Keep standing- standing on the WORD OF GOD! There's an old Gospel song called -- "Standing on the Promises" --- The chorus goes like this -- "Standing, standing,
Standing on the promises of Christ, my Saviour. Standing, standing, I'm standing on the promises of God."
Don't look to one side or the other, don't sit or give up, but just keep standing and believing. FOCUS!! There are over 8000 promises in the Word, Kurt, so we've got to believe that GOD is interested in us. SO Much! PTL!
I'm standing for the TIGERS win, also. I hope you have a restful wkend. I love it that GOD IS OMNIPOTENT, GOD IS OMNISCIENT, and that GOD is EVER PRESENT! He CARES! Love Always,
G'ma D

Hello Kurt,

I don't know if you remember me - my name is Jenny and I was an exchange student from Germany in your class at Geraldine High School in 1994... so, about an Ice Age ago!

I am still in touch with Rose Goldhahn and she emailed me, telling me you have cancer. Via Corrine Protsman and your fan site on Facebook I finally found my way over here.

For the past hour or so I've read your and Jennifer's past entries. And while a few things made me cry, even more things made me smile. The way you and Jennifer are fighting your war, your faith and courage are very inspiring. Thank you for sharing this.

I wish you and Jennifer the very best from the bottom of my heart and include you and all your loved ones in my prayers.

My very best wishes,
Jenny

Nice work by the Tigers, you know I love a good 6-man football story. =) Great seeing you both this weekend at Cat-Griz. I'll keep you posted on the Turducken Dinner!
