Today is the birthday of one of our dearest friends, Sara Hagedorn.
We met Sara in the wilds of South Dakota, campaigning for John Thune,
and have been friends ever since.
November 12 - My mother celebrates a milestone birthday!!!
And, closing out the big week, Kurt's dad celebrates his birthday on
the 13th!! Jack will be out here, this weekend, so we get to
celebrate with him.

43 is not really a milestone.
It is giving me hives not to say how old you are, Mom. I almost took out a happy birthday ad in the Bend Bulletin, but I thought that might get me disowned :)
I am totally on board for taking out an ad! I am pretty sure it would get us disowned though!
I fail to understand why you children are questioning your mother about celebrating her 43rd birthday....I remember the day very well... and I am still only 62... barely a senior...

Can anyone tell me why Mom always has to drag me into this! You would think by now she would know better. I was once asked her age by a co-worker and I answered something like 38. (Please note I was 24 at the time).

Exactly! I wonder if Mom has considered that people probably think she is older than she really is, given that she has a 30-year old daughter...and I love that this conversation is what finally gets you to post :)
