Update

Hey all -- I know we haven't posted much lately, but that's because there isn't much to report. I have been battling a sore throat most of the weekend, and now Kurt has a touch of it as well. So we are trying to get healthy so that there is no delay in treatment. Right now, he's not running a fever, so we should be fine.

As a side note, cancer may well be the world's worst vocab lesson. I was thinking today about all the new words that I have learned over the past two and a half weeks....can you believe that is all that it has been? Seems like an eternity. Anyhow, I don't like any of these new words that I have learned. Pretty soon, my brain will be full only of clinical recommendations on cancer drugs and the lyrics to "Ice Ice Baby." Law school education down the drain. :)

As always -- thank you for the continued prayers and support. Keep the faith -- we'll send an update on Wednesday after treatment!

Sorry to hear you are not feeling well. This is part of the stress. You will have several stress colds and they are miserable. Nothing you can do but wade thru them. All my prayer warriors were working extra hard for both of you this week end. Like you, I cannot believe it is only a couple weeks since this trial began. So, take a break from updates until after Wednesday and both of you get some rest. Keep the faith. Love and hugs.

Kurt, I just remembered another good one:

In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct your paths.
Proverbs 3:6

And how is the new job, Jen??

Love you both!

I agree with Grannie Channie!

I learned Saturday night that there is another group of prayer warriors in Highwood, MT who used their entire prayer meeting last week just to pray for healing for you, Kurt, and strength for you, Jennifer. They are going to continue to pray for you both!

It does seem like an eternity that we've all been waiting for the chemo to begin, but thank God that you've been strengthened by your faith the past few weeks. With all the prayer warriors lifting you up, you are going into the chemo stronger than ever!

I love you both!

Really? Vanilla Ice? How about a little "2 Ligit 2 Quit"? Balloon pants were awesome! Oh, and until you start having dreams in medical terminology you're still cool! We always called them heffalumps and woozles dreams. Where you dream about studying for an exam and all these complex words are floating around you in pink and blue bubble fonts - I'm sure you had something similar in law school! Good luck Wednesday!! Love you both!

Hey Guys! Glad you got to go out and have some fun before the treatments start. We are in total support of you and praying constantly! We may be a long way away from you physically but through God, His hands are right there and he has already begun healing you Kurt! The boys and Kimo and I are praying and believing for a total healing for "Cousin Kurt!" We love you guys so much! Aloha!
