The fight's on!

This has been quite the week - one I'll never forget. A week ago I was told that the mass in my esophagus was cancerous, and today the results from my liver biopsy confirmed that the tumors in my liver are indeed the same as the esophageal cancer.

The battle is on! We are going to fight this on all fronts - faith, diet, exercise, stress management, and the best drugs we can get our hands on!

It was good to be back at work again today, especially since I found out that I get to play around on an Abrams tank on Monday. We're working on a plan to get a hold of the keys and take it for a spin while they're not looking. If you hear about an incident on Monday's news, forget I said anything.

I am truly blessed to have the friendship of all of you. The outpouring of love, support, and prayers has been overwhelming. You all have brought me a sense of peace, and I thank you all for everything you have done so far! I will try my best to get back to all of you as soon as I can. Please keep all the good thoughts and prayers coming!

I had every intention of writing more tonight, but between The Office and 30 Rock it was a little hard to concentrate. More later!

Kurt,

Sometime I'm going to have to hear about the "tweeter farts"!

Maybe, if you're lucky, they will prescribe some medicinal herbal products. Call me if they do, I know some people that are educated in the application of these important, live-saving medicines.
