Two straight days of learning about dozens of treatment options we had never heard about and we are exhausted. The conference just wrapped up and we are headed to the airport.
Not sure how to process everything we learned, but we now know there are more treatment options that we have to push for, including radiation and maybe even surgery. We learned that there are a lot of gray areas, and we are empowered now to ask much more precise questions about the rationale behind treatment recommendations.
Virtually every nonmedical person in the room was at some point sent home to die. Months and years later, they are cancer-free. Kurt called this weekend game-changing, and I think he's right.

Keep the faith.. you could have been at a meeting where everyone started their conversation with "when I was your age . . " so for now, just keep the faith and at least enjoy the little trips and journeys - - each new adventure with bring more knowledge and one of the lessons will be the right one. Much love, Grannie Channie & Grandpa Vic
