Another Friday, another load of erbitux. Sorry for getting everyone worried - Jen made the mistake of letting me do the blog today, and I didn't get it done before the erbitux nap-time hit this afternoon...
We've had some good progress on the research front. We're heading to Chicago next week for a symposium on liver cancers and treatments. It should be good to see and hear what's going on and what the latest is in the research. Then, it looks like we'll be in Houston the first week of June for some consultations down at MD Anderson. We have a fantastic set of docs lined up down there - their resumes all look like they're into multi-modal treatments and are doing good research. That's also going to be my next CAT/PET scan.
So that's where we're at! I can't thank all of you enough for the great prayers, notes, and messages this week with my 8-month milestone. It means so much to us to have all your support!!!

The Lord has been bringing the word, FOCUS, to my mind this week. One of Webster's definitions is to fix or settle on one thing; concentrate. It's almost like we need tunnel vision; to not dare to veer from the desired goal, which is of course for Kurt to be cancer-free. Re-focus, Stay focused; get back in focus; what ever it takes to keep that in our minds and hearts. I'm encouraging you, Kurt & Jen, to keep HOPE first and foremost in your mind. There's an old hymn that says "MY HOPE is built on nothing less than JESUS CHRIST & righteousness. ON CHRIST the solid ROCK I stand; all other ground is sinking sand". FOCUS on the hope, which is JESUS CHRIST" I'm praying for you two to have WISDOM & God's guidance in all you do and think this week. God Bless. G'ma D

i was able to leave this past thursday to take a mini getaway to Miami for some beach ocean and sun and a little rest from some care taking duties as i have not gone on any vacations or breaks or get aways for a super long time!!! so my father and family thought that i needed it an insisted it!!!
