Liver Cancer Symposium

We are off to Chicago today, for a symposium focusing on liver cancer issues -- both primary liver cancer and cancers that have spread to the liver. Since that is where the bulk of Kurt's tumors are, this is a good fit. We should be hearing about the latest research, plus talking to people who have beat back some really aggressive cancers. I am really looking forward to learning what our path might look like. I am especially hopeful to get armed with a pile of good questions to ask the doctors at MD Anderson. We are expecting to be in Houston in early June for appointments at Anderson.

It finally feels like we are starting to see the next steps, getting something more aggressive than weekly chemo. Of course, that means more risk as well, so it is a swirl of emotions.

We'll post more from the conference!
